What is the best thing about hikes and long walks? Sure, the nature all around, the forests and fields, rivers that have to be crossed and, above all, just to clear your head. But there is something else that hikers appreciate so much about strenuous tours and during sporting challenges: the stops in between, the short breaks with cake and a strong cup of coffee that breathes fresh energy. We warmly welcome you to the café-bistro at the National Park Gate of Erbeskopf in the heart of the Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park. Look forward to delicious regional dishes. Our food and drink menu offers something for everyone. Enjoy traditional regional dishes, vegetarian dishes or a hearty hiker's snack. We are looking forward to your visit.

As a partner of the Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park, we work with many regional suppliers of excellent products. We get our drinks here from the mineral water fountains of the national park. Our beer comes from the regional brewery. TIP: Try the national park cellar beer. Our baked goods are delivered fresh daily from the National Park Bakery, Spindler Bakery. Wines and spirits come from the Nahe and Moselle.
Environmentally friendly arrivals The train stations in Idar-Oberstein, Trier, Turismuemühle and Neubrücke are the arrival and departure stations for the Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park. Bus stop / To the National Park Gate Erbeskopf Deuselbach, Hunsrückhaus/Erbeskopf (Note: The Erbeskopf now belongs to the municipality of Hilscheid, but the bus stop still includes the old place name Deuselbach.)
